On Saturday April 19th the IBCA 16 U’s participated in the Mount Marty Classic in Yankton, S.D.  The team played five games in one day with only seven players.  It was a great experience as the group showed heart and determination.  As a team they finished in 2nd place.  They lost twice each time to the same Nebraska Future Stars team, once in pool play and again in the finals.  The 16U’s will be in action again at the IBCA tourney in Fort Dodge on May 3 and 4.

3/31/08 - The IBCA (Iowa Basketball Coaches Association) Select Red Team won their 5th consecutive 16U Junior Eligible State AAU Girls Basketball Championship over the weekend at Hoover High School in Des Moines.  The IBCA Select Red cruised through the 10 team all-star field winning by 45, 15, 35, 36, & 17 points.  Jaime Printy (Linn-Mar) and Trisha Nesbitt (Ames) were named to the All-Tournament Team with Nesbitt earning MVP honors. Other team members include; Katelyn Sunde (Johnston), Katie Gustafson (S.Hamilton), Riley Norman (Roosevelt), Brittany Peterson (Spencer), Katie Schechinger (IKM), Kionna Kellogg (Ames), Amber Kirschbaum (Spirit Lake), & Jess McDowell (AGWSR).  Coaches are Adam DeJoode (SE Polk) and BJ Mayer (Iowa City West).
