The Iowa Basketball Coaches Association announces its annual Academic All State Boys Basketball Team for 2008.   To be nominated for consideration, a player had to possess minimum requirements of a 25 ACT composite, a 3.25 Grade point average, and be in the top 25% of their senior class.     A panel of coaches representing the IBCA Board of Directors reviewed all nominations, selecting the  following  as the 2008  Boys’ Academic All State Basketball team.

This year’s team boasts the following statistics:  They have an average ACT composite of 29.9;  they average a 3.99  Grade Point Average; they have a scoring average of 16.8 points per player.  In addition 12 of them rank  number 1 in their respective senior classes.
